Frequently asked questions

How to transcribe a file ?
  • Go to page Dashboard.
  • Click on Transcribe a recording then select the file you want to transcribe. Make sure that the format is correct.
  • At a minimum, indicate the language and the number of speakers.
  • If the option automatic transcription is activated, the transcription starts automatically.
  • Otherwise, you have to wait for the end of the import of your file before launching the transcription.
What do you mean by unlimited transcription?
  • Our Business plan allows you and your team to transcribe an unlimited amout of files every month.
  • To prevent abuse, we have set a fair usage limit that you should never reach.
  • If you are getting close we will let you know.
How to transcribe the recording of a meeting ?
  • Go to page Dashboard.
  • Click on Start Recording.
  • Click on the icon microphone to start recording. It's your turn!
  • At the end of your meeting, click on the red Stop button.
  • At a minimum, indicate the language and the number of speakers.
  • If the option automatic transcription is activated then the transcription starts automatically.
  • Otherwise you have to wait for the end of the import before starting the transcription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel your subscription from the page My Account, Modify then click on Cancel Subsciption.

Your subscription will be valid until the end of the commitment period and will not be renewed.
Are credits cumulative?
No, your credits are reset each month based on your subscription.
Who has access to my transcripts and files?
Only you have access to your files and the corresponding transcripts.

In some support cases and with your prior agreement, you can send us the secret identifier of your transcription so that we can investigate possible anomalies.
What level of security is there for my files?
The security of your information is very important to us. We do not sell any information to third parties and want to do our utmost to protect your data.

Your data is encrypted in storage and sent so that no one but you can access it.
What formats can I use to transcribe?
Audio : MP3, WAV, FLAC, OGG.

Vidéo : MP4, M4A, AVI.

For any additional format, please contact us.
What are the export formats?
Your transcripts are exportable in TXT, DOCX, PDF, HTML.

Subtitles are automatically generated in CSV, VTT, SRT, TXT.
How long do I have to wait for my transcript?
For a transcription of 1 hour, it usually takes between 20 and 25 minutes.
Is it possible to use Noota on cell phones?
For the moment, you can go to the Noota web platform from your mobile and use it normally.

The Noota mobile application is coming soon with many new features.
