Noota for multi-platform flexibility

Noota joins client-hosted Google Meet and Zoom calls, handles in-person audio, and hosts data in the EU on Google Cloud & Scaleway/Bleu.

Teams only or any platform

Copilot's meeting recap works inside Microsoft Teams. Noota records Zoom, Google Meet and Teams.

Copilot generates recaps for Microsoft Teams meetings and needs transcription or cloud recording turned on to produce post-meeting notes. We did not find support for joining Google Meet or Zoom.

Noota's Desktop app (macOS and Windows) captures your computer's audio on Pro, Business and Enterprise, so no bot appears in the participant list. A calendar bot for Meet, Teams and Zoom is also available. Tell participants you are recording, as with any tool.

  • Teams Premium option: Teams Premium costs $10 per user per month (annual) and adds AI meeting recaps in Teams only.
  • Compliance and EU Data Boundary: Microsoft lists ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and the EU Data Boundary applies to European commercial tenants, although models provided by Anthropic as a subprocessor are currently excluded.

Still have a question? Talk to our team

What is the main difference between Noota and Microsoft Copilot?

Copilot is an add-on to a Microsoft 365 plan, and its meeting features work in Teams; we did not find support for external Google Meet or Zoom meetings. Noota is standalone and covers Google Meet, Teams, Zoom and in-person meetings. On CRM, we did not find native custom field mapping in standard Copilot; Copilot for Sales ($50 per user per month) connects to Dynamics 365 and Salesforce, and we did not find native HubSpot or Pipedrive connectors. Noota Pro maps fields from €19 per user per month without using AI credits.

Which meeting platforms and languages does Noota support?

Noota's Desktop app, available on the Pro, Business and Enterprise plans, captures audio from Zoom, Google Meet and Teams on macOS and Windows, and a calendar bot for Meet, Teams and Zoom is also available. Transcription works in 50+ languages, recordings can run up to 10 hours, and uploaded audio and video files can be up to 4 GB.

How do Noota and Microsoft Copilot compare on pricing?

For 5 people, Noota Pro is €95 per month, or €1,140 per year on annual billing (€145 per month, €1,740 per year on monthly billing), excl. VAT. Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add-on at $30 per user per month on an annual commitment: $150 per month, or $1,800 per year, excl. tax, not counting the required Microsoft 365 base licence (Business Standard $12.50, Business Premium $22 or E3/E5; Microsoft also sells a Copilot Business add-on at $21 per user per month for smaller organisations). Teams Premium ($10 per user per month, $600 per year for 5 users) adds recaps in Teams only. Noota is standalone and needs no Microsoft 365 licence. Currencies are not converted, and the scope differs: Copilot covers Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Where is meeting data stored, and does either tool train on my data?

Noota stores and processes data in the European Union on Google Cloud (Belgium and Netherlands) by default, offers a sovereign environment on Scaleway (Paris) and Bleu for Enterprise, and does not train AI models on customer data on any plan. Microsoft hosts Copilot on Azure with the EU Data Boundary for European commercial tenants, and states that commercial customer data is not used to train foundation models, although models provided by Anthropic as a subprocessor are currently excluded from the EU Data Boundary.

Does Microsoft Copilot work in every meeting?

No. Copilot's meeting features work in Microsoft Teams, and we did not find support for joining or summarising external Google Meet or Zoom meetings. Post-meeting notes need cloud recording or transcription turned on in Teams ("Only during the meeting" mode discards content after the call), and recordings are stored in SharePoint or OneDrive under your tenant's retention policies. We also did not find standalone audio or video file-upload transcription. Noota's Desktop app records without a bot; participants must be informed and consent obtained for any recording.
